Since convening in the Fall of 2020, our committee has developed the following works-in-progress:

Each initiative is intended to be a living document and is expected to be revised and updated to meet the needs and challenges of the department over time. This academic year (2021-2022), the committee is continuing our exciting work advancing JEDI across the department. Building off our previous work, we are working on the following action areas:

  • Coordinating the seminar, “Implementing the Diversity & Inclusion Strategic Vision”, with the Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion for HE faculty (Winter 2022)
  • Developing additional teaching and curriculum resources to advance inclusive excellence, accessibility, and diverse approaches
  • Enhancing the LDA course scorecard developed by LDA students in 2020-2021 to a wider audience for differential uses
  • Developing processes to create bi-directional communication flows for input, feedback, and distribution
