Reserving the conference room in 1328 Hart Hall is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservation requests can be sent to he-conferencerooms@ucdavis.edu.
1328 is equipped with a Logitech conference system for Zoom calls.
This will allow you to host a Zoom meeting using the computer in the room, which is connected to a remote-controlled camera and highly sensitive microphone array.
To use:
- Move ‘Speaker+Microphone’ to a location central to participants, for example:
- Turn on camera via this remote:
- Turn on display via this button:
- Log into computer using your Central Authentication Service (CAS) credentials, via the wireless keyboard and mouse. Then log into Zoom and start your meeting.
Additional considerations:
Any other computer joining the Zoom meeting from the same room should be muted with the microphone disabled.
The conference room setup is connected to ‘HDMI 1’ on the display. If you would like to forgo the conference setup and plug directly into the display with your laptop, please use the cable on the left wall and switch the input to ‘HDMI 2’.
