Bio

Sebastian Castro-Alvarez is a postdoctoral scholar at the Department of Human Development. He did his undergraduate studies in psychology at the National University of Colombia (Universidad Nacional de Colombia) in Bogotá, Colombia. After this, he graduated with a research master’s in behavioral and social sciences at the university of Groningen in the Netherlands and received his Ph.D. from the same university. His research interests are in the field of psychometrics and its applications to intensive longitudinal data. More specifically, he wants to understand and create awareness on how to account for measurement error in intensive longitudinal data in psychology by means of using dynamic factor analysis, SEM, and IRT approaches, which are suitable to analyze time series.
