- HDE students complete 19–20 approved restricted-elective units.
- Courses must be taken for a letter grade when a letter-grade option is available.
- General Track students may use courses from either specialized-track list.
- HDE 104–199 courses are approved for all HDE tracks but cannot also count toward another area of the major.
