HE JEDI INITIATIVES

Since convening in the Fall of 2020, our committee has developed the following works-in-progress:  

• HE JEDI Mission Statement
• JEDI Syllabi and Teaching Resources Toolkit
• Rubric for assessing contributions to JEDI for faculty personnel actions
• Guidance on COVID-19 Achievements Relative to Opportunities Statements
• JEDI Committee involvement in new faculty searches (interviewing candidates as a committee and answering their questions about diversity, equity, and inclusion; rank ordering candidates based on their responses to provide recommendations to the search committee)
• Recruitment of student members to the HE JEDI Committee from across all six graduate and undergraduate programs in the Department of Human Ecology

It is important to note these materials are drafts. Each initiative is intended to be a living document and is expected to be revised and updated to meet the needs and challenges of the department over time. A repository will be included for past iterations of the department’s efforts. To provide feedback to the committee on these or other priorities please use this google form (under construction).
